KUALA LUMPUR: Police anti-terrorist operatives nabbed nine suspected Islamic State (IS) militants in raids conducted by the Police Special Counter Terrorism Branch around Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Sabah and Kelantan. Two other suspects were nabbed in Kuala Krai and Batu Pahat for hiding Jasnizam and Md Saifuddin. On the 17-year-old suspect nabbed in Sabah, Khalid said the teen had received instructions from a Malaysian involved in the IS in Syria to launch attacks in Malaysia. Another 26-year-old suspect who was nabbed in Johor is a member of the same cell whose 23 members were nabbed in two special operations last month. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said the nine suspects comprising six locals and three foreigners were nabbed during raids between July 20 and Aug 9.
