Cultural Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury -Photo: CollectedMAGURA, Feb 28, 2026 (BSS) - Cultural Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury today warned government officials in Magura that negligence in duty, corruption and inefficiency would not be tolerated under any circumstances. "The officials are free to discharge their responsibilities independently in their respective offices. But if negligence is proven, they will have to resign," he said while addressing a meeting of government officials at Shalikha Upazila. Sustainable development would not be possible unless corruption and irregularities are eradicated from society, he added, urging officials to perform their duties with honesty and dedication. The meeting was presided over by Shalikha Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Bin Amin and attended by officials of different government departments.
