Residents of the Njiru Land have called for the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to look into the documents submitted in court by the Kirima family. Through Lawyer Danstan Omari, the residents also said they want the DCI to investigate the documents submitted by the family of the alleged original owner of the land the late Dominico De Masi, an Italian. "We have written a letter to the Director of Criminal Investigations to investigate the documents the Kirima presented to the judge, to investigate those the Dominico guy has represented to establish which are the lawful, rightful documents of ownership," Omari said. They have also written to the National Lands Commission to investigate the title deed of the land. This stems from the October 23, judgement by Environment and Land Court Judge Samson Okong’o, naming former Starehe MP Gerishon Kirima as its rightful owner.
