Actress, Nkechi Blessing, who was said to have been banned by Theatre and Motion Picture Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) for misconduct has apologised to the leadership of the association for her public outburst when she learnt of her ban. The actress in a statement released on Thursday said she was driven by emotions, saying that she overreacted to the decision of TAMPAN to stop movie producers and directors from working with her. As much as we should seek the truth, our first reaction should be to protect the minor and perpetuate awareness against sexual assault of minors. “I have nothing but love and respect for TAMPAN, its members and the elders. I was driven by my emotions but I will never be sorry for standing against rape, sexual assault, and molestation of minors,” she said.
