No Charges Filed in Fatal Shooting of Amir LockeOfficer Mark Hanneman, who shot and killed 22-year-old Amir Locke while executing a warrant in a Minneapolis apartment, will not face criminal charges, according to Hennepin County Attorney Michael Freeman and Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison. In a body camera video, a group of officers are seen barging into the apartment and yelling commands after quietly sliding a key into the door. Locke appeared to be asleep but then gets up holding a gun that his family legally owned. Locke’s family still plans to move forward with a civil suit, according to the family’s attorney Jeff Storms.
