State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yeaser Khan Choudhury and adviser on the ministry Dr Zahed Ur Rahman were present there. However, he added that under the directives of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the situation is being handled efficiently. The minister added that a high-level cabinet committee, led by the finance minister, is closely monitoring the situation, considering global conflicts and tensions around the Strait of Hormuz. In response to journalists’ questions at the briefing, Dr Zahed Ur Rahman said there is no fuel crisis in the country. Addressing fuel pump owners, the adviser said the prime minister has made it clear that there is no plan to raise fuel prices at present.
