KOTA KINABALU: The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry has assured the public that Malaysia is not facing any shortage of petrol, diesel or cooking gas. The assurance comes despite recent rumours of supply disruptions at several stations in Sabah. Armizan clarified recent rumours alleging fuel shortages at several petrol stations in Sabah, which were linked to supply disruptions in neighbouring countries. He reiterated that the fuel supply remains sufficient and stable nationwide, with the situation in Malaysia far more secure compared to several neighbouring countries. Armizan reminded the public that selling or refilling fuel outside vehicle tanks without a special permit was illegal under the Control of Supplies Regulations 1974.
