Retailers at markets said that the fall in the demand for Chinese rakhis might be a result of patriotic feelings. “This year, we imported fewer Chinese rakhis as the demand for Indian ones has gone up. “When people are interested in buying Indian rakhis, why should we invest our money in Chinese products?” said Raghav, a wholesale dealer.
