As long as the PAC is using its own funds and not tax money, there is no conflict of interest. If the elected official is not being paid by the PAC, it should be allowable. If achieving the PAC’s goal involves taxing residents, it’s a clear conflict of interest. It’s hard to say whether it’s OK. It’s pretty much an ethical gray area. VoteView Results
