more-inMumbai: State Industries Minister and senior Shiv Sena leader Subhash Desai is the latest to face corruption allegations from the Opposition. Leader of the Opposition in the Council Dhananjay Munde alleged on Friday that Mr. Desai has flouted rules to denotify about 400 acres of land to benefit private developers. He said Mr. Desai denotified and then transferred the land to developers close to his party. The loss to the exchequer because of Mr. Desai’s decision, Mr. Munde alleged, was of ₹6,000 crore. I urge the Opposition leaders, including Mr. Munde, to cooperate on this and other works,” he said.
