With more time on hand, people are bingeing on South Korean, Turkish, Chinese and Thai dramas. In a 2019 interview with The Hindu, film editor Appu N Bhattathiri (Ottamuri Velicham, Drishyam) highlighted how the International Film Festival of Kerala helped popularise Korean content.
