Hayley McDonald, 35, clocked up a total of 15 points on her licence after she was caught breaking the speed limit on separate occasions while on her way to hospital. Wigan Magistrates Court heard how her Vauxhall Antara was flashed repeatedly for breaking the 50mph limit on the M62 near Warrington, Cheshire. Under normal circumstances, she would have been disqualified from driving after she received 12 points within a 36-month period. "She would be caused exceptional hardship if disqualified as she needs to be able to drive to work. As well as imposing three points for each of the five offences, she was also fined £100 for each.
