The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has moved to discipline its Secretary General, Senator Edwin Sifuna. The party has issued Sifuna with a formal show-cause letter over allegations of gross misconduct and repeated contravention of party resolutions. In a letter signed by ODM National Chairperson Gladys Wanga, the party accuses Sifuna of undermining its collective authority through public statements, non-attendance of key meetings, and participation in parallel political initiatives allegedly inconsistent with official party programmes. The ODM leadership warned that failure to respond within the stipulated timeframe would lead to further action being taken without additional consultation. “Despite participating in Party meetings and publicly conveying Party resolutions, you have subsequently issued contradictory statements in various forums, thereby creating confusion and eroding institutional coherence,” the letter further alleges.
