Four ODM MPs have asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to explain the source of funds used in facilitating merger of nine political parties to form the new Jubilee Alliance. The leaders on Monday accused the government of using taxpayers’ money to entice leaders of smaller parties to join the much touted Jubilee party. Mr Mohammed said the much hyped mergers were nothing new as the constituent parties were the same ones that formed the Jubilee coalition after 2013. He wondered when the said political parties last held their party elections. Mr Mohammed claimed that some of the parties involved in the merger have no followers even in their own backyard.
