OP-ED: A bit of a damp squib

In the virtual summit with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, he seemed distanced and decidedly weary. It has not been confirmed yet whether he met the prime minister officially or unofficially. While Dr AK Momen was clear in that water issues, border killings, and such would figure in the summit, Doraiswami’s views prevailed. Tragically enough, on Victory Day and a day before the summit, as Border Guard Bangladesh sent sweets to the Indian Border Security Force, the BSF shot and killed a Bangladeshi. The hard truth is that without pressure on Myanmar from China and India, the Rohingya problem stays with Bangladesh.
