In a press release dated February 13, 2026, the OSP said it had received the decision of the Commission for the Control of INTERPOL’s Files (CCF), which directed the removal of the notice in line with the organisation’s rules on political neutrality and notice processing. INTERPOL deletes Red Notice against Ken Ofori-Atta over political concernsAdditionally, the CCF observed that subsequent developments rendered the Red Notice unnecessary. The OSP disclosed that summons issued by the Criminal Division of the High Court in Accra have been transmitted to the United States for service, requiring Ofori-Atta to appear and answer multiple criminal charges. The Office emphasised that efforts to secure his appearance in Ghana are continuing through established legal and diplomatic channels.
