Oakland Care has completed the purchase of land in Wigmore, Kent, where it will build a 68-bed residential, nursing and dementia care home. Construction of the £14m development begins this month, with an opening date in late 2023. The home has been designed by ADG Architects in conjunction with Oakland Care, while Dalton Homes North East have been appointed to build the property. Oakland has six operational homes with a further two openings planned for this year in Kent. It also plans to open Hyllden Heights in Tonbridge, Kent, in spring next year, as part of a pipeline of projects to develop two-to-three homes each year.
