Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Oburu Odinga has dismissed a publication going round on social media purporting to propose Embakasi East MP Babu Owino for the party's secretary general position. In a notice on Thursday, March 19, Oburu labelled the publication as fake, reiterating that he had not authorised any publication and no notice had been made to the newspaper in question. The notice, purported to have been published by the Daily Nation newspaper on Wednesday, March 18, went viral on Thursday morning after it was shared by Babu Owino himself. Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has since responded to the fake circular by rejecting the proposal, which has since been labelled as fake, noting that he only wanted to become the ODM party leader. The Secretary General remains Edwin Sifuna," Babu stated on his social media pages, attaching the photo of the fake NDC notice.
