The four officers who were shot and wounded when a gunman entered a Pittsburgh synagogue this weekend and killed 11 people were identified Tuesday by the city’s Public Safety Department. Public Information Officer Chris Togneri praised law enforcement in a statement saying the injured officers “acted heroically” after exchanging gunfire with the suspect, 46-year-old Robert Bowers. He reportedly entered the Tree of Life synagogue Saturday armed with three handguns and an assault rifle. President Trump met with the four injured officers Tuesday while on a visit to Pittsburgh to pay tribute to the shooting victims.
