One of the country’s best players under the age of 12, Seyi Ogunshak, survived the first day of the Azimuth Shipping Lines Limited Junior Tennis Championship in Lagos yesterday. In the girls ’series, Ndidi Osaji easily advances to the semi-finals as she also won both of her matches yesterday. 14-year-olds and younger will start the competition today, while 16-year-olds and younger will play tomorrow. According to tournament director Richard Inyang, the quality of this year’s competition is amazing and we’ve just started. We are pleased with the number of entrants and hope to stay ahead of the competition for tournament prizes and honors.
