Oikya Front: Army has its hands tied

Asked by reporters why there were allegations despite army deployment, which was the Oikya Front’s demand, Nazrul said the Election Commission was controlling the army and had them restrained. Oikya Front leaders were speaking to reporters after walking out of a meeting with the commission. Fakhrul told journalists that BNP leaders and activists were being arrested, attacked and killed across the country. “The atmosphere is bad everywhere, and the Election Commission is not paying any heed,” he said. However, the Oikya Front leaders said they were still determined to take part in the election on Sunday.
