During a press conference after an emergency meeting of the alliance, at the BNP chairperson’s office in Dhaka’s Gulshan on Tuesday, the platform’s leaders categorically said the incumbent CEC will not be able to hold a “free, fair and neutral election.”“We demand a new chief election commissioner because we have lost the hope of having a free and fair election under the present one,” BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said.
