Oil companies for the fifth consecutive time increased their pump pr ices on Tuesday. The cost of gasoline went up by P1 per liter, diesel by 65 centavos per liter, and kerosene by 70 centavos per liter. Chevron Philippines, Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, Pilipinas Shell, PTT Philippines, Seaoil and Unioil announced the impending pump price hike on Monday. Last week, the price of gasoline rose by 75 centavos per liter while the cost of diesel and kerosene went up by 70 centavos per liter. Year-to-date adjustments stand at a total net increase of P10.75 per liter for gasoline, P9.25 per liter for diesel and P7.70 per liter for kerosene, based on the Department of Energy's weekly monitoring.
