ARIZONA — Bakersfield farmhand call-up Joe Gambardella, who was summoned from Bakersfield Friday and immediately slotted into the fourth line against Arizona Coyotes, is carrying a beard that’s gusting toward Brent Burns territory. “I always have a five o’clock shadow and Evan’s starting from scratch but his beard is actually longer than mine right now. “I think he could be a fourth-line NHL player,” said Oilers interim general manager Keith Gretzky. The Oilers have pulled within five points of the final playoff spot in the Western Conference with 13 games left to play. Either way, it’s nice to have the Oilers play meaningful games in March.
