Opposition leader Raila Odinga superfan Nuru Okanga is among the 1.43 million candidates who sat the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination this year. He on Monday joined other candidates at Mumias Muslim Primary School in Kakamega County as a private candidate. Addressing the media, Okanga said he aims to obtain a primary school certificate that would make it easier for him to contest for a county assembly seat. Okanga also appreciated the efforts by Roots party leader George Wajackoyah for hiring a teacher in Nairobi to train him. Okanga was thrust in the political limelight during the anti-government demonstrations organised by Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition.
