Self confidence among middle aged men is, however, having a detrimental effect on the male beauty market Rex FeaturesNearly three quarters of older British men believe that they have become better looking with age, a consumer survey has revealed. This contrasts with only 56 per cent of men aged 16 to 24 who felt confident about their looks. Overall two thirds of the 994 men questioned said that they looked good for their age. All this confidence among silver foxes is having a detrimental effect on the male beauty market, according to the retail analyst Mintel, which carried out the survey. The sale of men’s facial skincare products has risen in recent years but is forecast to decline this year.
