A man has been jailed after failing to comply with the requirements of being on the sex offenders register. Asif Ali, of Thorncliff Avenue, Oldham, failed to comply with sex offenders register in his annual registration without reasonable excuse on December 7 last year. On September 15 this year, the 50-year-old failed to surrender to custody at Tameside Magistrates' Court having been released on bail the month before. At Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on October 3, Ali was sentenced for the two offences having pleaded guilty to both. At Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on October 5, the 34-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence and was sentenced.
