Performance data of secondary schools around the country were released by the government at the end of last year, which show how schools in the borough ranked. Of the secondary schools in Oldham, two schools finished with above average Progress 8 scores. The other school to attain an above average score was The Oldham Academy North (TOAN), which also finished well above average with 0.54. “Most of our secondary schools and academies posted improvements, resulting in better attainment and progress scores. “I’m incredibly proud of the achievements of our young people at schools across Oldham, and I want to thank the school staff and parents for supporting children through their secondary school education that was seriously affected by the pandemic.”The Blue Coat School was approached for a comment.
