Oldschool Outlaw can boost Gordon Elliott’s prospects of at last becoming champion trainer by winning the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Honeysuckle Mares Novice Hurdle, the first of two Grade Ones on Sunday’s stellar Fairyhouse card. While frustrating for connections, Oldschool Outlaw ran a huge race in defeat and looks sure to put up another bold bid here. The Colm Murphy-trained six-year-old has won each of her last four starts, a Grade Three win at Limerick last month her most recent success. Like Sixmilebridge, the Mullins-trained Leader d'Allier was a late withdrawal from Cheltenham after being found lame before his intended outing in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle. Classic Getaway in the featured Grade Three BAR 1 Betting Chase and Kimi De Mai are other likely Cobden-ridden winners.
