The former Olympic snowboarder was charged in a 2024 indictment with running a continuing criminal enterprise, committing assorted drug trafficking crimes and directing the murders of two members of a family in Canada in retaliation for a stolen drug shipment. Gen. Pam Bondi previously said Wedding’s operation was responsible for generating more than $1 billion a year in illegal drug proceeds. Oseguera González was sentenced last year to a term of life in prison plus 30 years to run consecutively for his role in a major drug trafficking conspiracy.
