MANILA, Philippines — The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) urged the Muslim community to offer their prayers to call for the end of the coronavirus disease pandemic as they celebrate the Feast of Sacrifice or Eid’l-Adha on Friday. “As we solemnly remember Ibrahim’s great sacrifice, let us offer our prayers and supplications to the ending of this global health crisis. ADVERTISEMENTThe NCMF also honored the empathy of individuals staying at home to strictly follow health protocols amid the pandemic. NCMF, likewise, threw its support to medical workers and those gravely affected by the health crisis. During the Feast of Sacrifice, Muslims slaughter sheep, goats, cows and camels to commemorate the Muslim holiday.
