One person has been trapped in a vehicle following a crash near Orari in South Canterbury. A motorist who was trapped in a vehicle after hitting a power pole near Orari, north of Timaru on Wednesday, has been taken to hospital with moderate injuries. When the crew arrived, about 9.15am they found a power pole on top of the vehicle, he said. Police confirmed it was a single vehicle crash and one person had been injured. St John said one person had suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Timaru Hospital by ambulance.
