Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has expressed condolences to the families affected by a tragic road crash in Nyeri County. “May the Almighty God rest the Souls of our Faithful departed in eternal peace.”President William Ruto also sent a message of condolence following the road accident. “The national government, in conjunction with the county government of Nyeri, is engaging with the affected families and will provide all necessary support during this difficult time,” he said. He concluded the message with a brief expression of sympathy: “Pole sana.”The tragic road accident along the Nyeri–Nyahururu road claimed 15 lives. According to authorities the crash involved a Nissan matatu and a truck ferrying logs.
