Members of Lincolnshire County Council’s planning and regulation committee heard that the authority is proposing to expand rules in Sincil Street, Lincoln, southwards to the junction. Sincil Street, with its junction at Waterside South, currently has a one-way driving restriction southbound and a traffic regulation order which prohibits traffic between 10am and 4pm. The open space is currently used for vehicles to drop off and pick up passengers, but Lincolnshire Police and the City of Lincoln Council have raised concerns about the danger that these vehicles pose to people walking through the area. At a meeting on Monday, March 9, Coun Neil Murray (Independent – Carholme) said: “I would like to support the proposal.
