It may be recalled that GhanaWeb’s Ashanti Regional Correspondent, Gideon Nana Peprah, was attacked by a group of armed men while covering the elections, along with other journalists. The incident occurred at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council following a violent altercation that left several media personnel injured. A year after the incident, the journalists have expressed sadness over the authorities’ failure to act. Despite the police mounting a manhunt for the said thugs, no feedback or update has been given.
