Salim Reza informed that they are reforming and reorganizing their database to ensure online recruitment by employers. "They have already launched a pilot of the database where some 21,000 workers have already been registered. We are rebuilding the system in a way that restricts anyone from being recruited without online registration,” the secretary said. Moreover, the minister talked about future plans of launching an app, if possible, to ease the registration process. Although the secretary denied to give the number of workers demanded by Qatar, he said the country would recruit skilled workers in three sectors – service, hospitality, and agriculture.
