Amazon hadn’t added the likes of Lady Bird, The Shape of Water or The Disaster Artist yet, so we hopped over to Netflix where a brand new Netflix original horror film was just released, Open House. But Open House is the first time I’ve genuinely wondered if someone is asleep at the switch at Netflix. People like horror movies, people like that 13 Reasons Why actor, the algorithm says we should make that movie. And yet, the end result is genuinely one of the worst horror movies I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a lot of them. Because that’s precisely what Open House is.
