Operation Devil Hunt Phase-2: 53 arrested in Dhaka within 24hrsDHAKA, Jan 13, 2026 (BSS) - Police arrested 53 people in the last 24 hours under Operation Devil Hunt Phase-2, conducting coordinated drives in crime-prone areas under Jatrabari, Banani, Kalabagan, Rupnagar and Hatirjheel police stations. Jatrabari Police Station arrested 19 people on Monday and recovered 100 kg of ganja during the operation. Banani Police Station arrested 14 people the same day, seizing 16 kg of ganja. Kalabagan Police Station arrested one person involved in regular and previous cases, while Rupnagar Police Station arrested 14 people on Tuesday during a day-long drive. The operations were conducted as part of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP's) ongoing efforts to curb crime and ensure public safety in the capital.
