more-inThe annual development seminar organised by the Kochi Corporation on Wednesday witnessed the civic body presenting for larger discussions a rough draft of development projects worth ₹148 crore to be implemented during the 2018-19 fiscal. Meanwhile, the Opposition warned of derailment of development projects owing to the alleged failure of the corporation to comply with the schedule specified by the State government for Plan implementation. She also insisted on the need to be guided by valuable lessons learned from past experiences in the implementation of development projects. Chandran said while other civic bodies had secured the approval of the District Planning Committee for their Plan projects well in advance, the Kochi Corporation had just conducted a seminar. The seminar discussed various projects compiled by 19 working groups based on discussions at ward sabhas.
