Orange Coast College, mourning its baseball coach John Antobelli, will play its season opener today as scheduled

(CNN) Just two days after losing its beloved coach in a helicopter crash , Orange Coast College's baseball team will play its season opener as scheduled Tuesday -- and will honor him with an on-field ceremony beforehand. "He was always excited to ride with Kobe on the helicopter," Nate Johnson, Altobelli's assistant coach at OCC, told CNN's "New Day" on Tuesday. This is an image shared by the Altobelli family of (from left to right): Keri Altobelli, John Altobelli, Lexi Altobelli, J.J. Altobelli and Alyssa Altobelli. "She found a love for basketball, and Kobe brought that love out for her, just like he did for a lot of people. "He loved his students, his colleagues and he loved this college, and this loss has broken our hearts," Suarez said.
