SIBU: The secondary school teacher who died at the Sibu Hospital's intensive care unit had her liver and kidneys successfully harvested during an operation performed by doctors from Kuala Lumpur. Yap Hue Ling, 47, fainted while giving additional lessons in school at 8.30am on May 27. Sibu MP Oscar Ling said on Friday (May 31) that the operation on Yap was conducted at about midnight on Thursday. "The two organs will be later used in a transplant operation," he said, adding that his sister-in-law died due to a brain haemorrhage. Ling said the doctors had flown back to Kuala Lumpur in a 7am flight on Friday morning.
