The Benue State governor, Samuel Ortom, has signed the state’s N189.43 billion 2020 budget into law. Ortom while signing the budget 2020 tagged “Advancement, Growth and Development” on Monday in Makurdi, pledged that the government would strive to implement the fiscal policy. NAN further reports that the 2020 budget was N10b less than the 2019 approved budget of N199 billion, representing 9.2 per cent. He said the implementation of the 2020 budget would give rise to addressing deficiencies in the social sector especially education, health and water and infrastructures.
