November 7, 2020 01:45 pm-Colombo East Base Hospital has set up the first-ever medical centre in Sri Lanka to treat pregnant women who are infected with Covid-19. Obstetrician & Gynaecologist Dr. Mayuramanne Dewolage said more than 80 pregnant women have tested positive for the virus in the country so far. A total of 28 pregnant women are currently under medical care at the treatment centre at the Colombo East Base Hospital. Dr. Dewolage added that 04 pregnant women have successfully have given birth to healthy babies at the hospital.
