Starting July, some live PBA activities like practice sessions in small groups might be allowed teams to undertake. PBA teams may start workout sessions in gyms, probably by small batches following reports that the Metro Manila Council is leaning towards recommending the downgrading of the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) to general community quarantine (GCQ) in the National Capital Region. Under GCQ, some sporting events will be allowed to re-open. Meanwhile, PBA member ball clubs have allowed their players to train in their respective homes, with trainers conducting the session via online. The league had just played one game in PBA Season 45 when it called an indefinite suspension at the early stage of what has become a full-blown coronavirus pandemic.
