PDM pays tribute to Benazir Bhutto, demands PM’s resignation

Last week, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari contacted the PDM leadership to invite them to attend the annual commemoration ceremony in Larkana. PPP Chairman Bilawal said that the Bhutto mausoleum in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh is enough evidence to know that the PDM would not back down. The PML-N leader said that PM Imran is “begging for NRO” from PDM and sending his emissaries to strike a deal with the opposition parties. National Party President Abdul Malik Baloch spoke of the parliament “being taken hostage” and how farmers are “dying of hunger”. However, JUI-F chief and PDM president Maulana Fazlur Rehman declined the invitation extended by former president and PPP Co-chairperson Zardari to attend the meeting citing other engagements.
