PFL Takes Steps Toward Proving Its Fighters-First Approach


Aside from the traditional sports, non-matchmaking model, one of the biggest differences between the Professional Fighters League and some of the more established mixed martial arts promotions is its "fighters-first" mantra. It's early in the process, but the PFL is already taking steps to prove it plans to follow through on that brand promise. "I've had a lengthy fighting career but my experience with the PFL has been a first," said Andre Harrison, a 30-year-old undefeated featherweight and PFL fighter. "I had a chance to get to spend time with management, the broadcast team, and my fellow PFL fighters. If it does not, or someone runs afoul of the expected standards of behavior, will the PFL hold the fighter(s) accountable?
