THE Philippines is now in the semifinals of the XXVIII BFA Asian Baseball Championship at Tien Mou Stadium in New Taipei City. With Carlos Alberto Munoz scoring on four RBIs, the Filipinos moved further ahead in the fourth after scoring two runs. Host Chinese Taipei also reached the semifinals after turning back Sri Lanka, 13-0. During the preliminaries, the Filipinos pulled off a close 8-5 thriller over Sri Lanka. They improved their win-loss record in Group A after a 2-12 shellacking at the hands of host Chinese Taipei in their previous outing.
