The vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Peter Obi, on Wednesday, in the company of the Lagos State candidate of the party, Jimi Agbaje, paid an unscheduled visit to the business hubs of state, where he promised the traders of pro-business administration if his party wins 2019 presidential election. He was joined by Agbaje during his impromptu visit to markets in Lagos, which include, the Ladipo Auto Spare Part Market and Computer Village, both at Oshodi and Ikeja axis of the state and FESTAC, where he reiterated his support for the advancement of the marketers’ businesses. Obi, interacting with the traders said he came visiting to understand first hand, what the traders go through. It will be recalled that while Obi as the governor of Anambra State, ran an anti-wastage government which cut down on the cost of running governance, starting from selling off the Governor’s Lodge in Abuja, so he could fund education in the state. It was during his reign as the governor of Anambra State that the state moved from its 28th position in education to become the first in the country through what stakeholders said was Obi’s radical initiative in the education sector.
