Under the pharmaceuticals PLI scheme, incentives rose from ₹655.15 crore in FY23 to ₹2,330 crore in FY25.Similarly, under the bulk drugs scheme, disbursements increased from ₹5.95 crore in FY23 to ₹21.30 crore in FY25.The government emphasised that environmental compliance remains a critical requirement for the sector. They are required to obtain statutory clearances, including Environmental Clearance (EC), Consent to Establish (CTE), and Consent to Operate (CTO), before commencing operations.
