Temperatures hovered around or just above the freezing mark, aided by some rain-cooled air from the showers this morning. However, in our colder areas from northern Montgomery County and to the north, temperatures are between 30 and 33 and a few icy spots are possible through the evening. Temperatures remain above freezing for most but there are some pockets of 30-32 readings in northern Montgomery County, Frederick County, northern Howard County – especially along and north of Interstate 70. Elsewhere, temperatures should remain just above freezing with mostly plain rain. Overnight temperatures remain stagnant, ranging from 30 to 36 degrees with a very light north wind.
